My local Safeway store (Northern CA) is running a Buy1, Get 2 Free special on one pound containers of strawberries. This deal is good through 4/26. These Driscol’s brand berries are beautiful! I bought three 1 lb containers on Monday when I did my shopping. Last night I made strawberry shortcakes for dessert! Yummy!
I’m thinking of getting more to make strawberry freezer jam. I’ve never made it before, but it’s supposed to be very easy, so maybe I’ll give it a try. I just picked up the mail and found that my local SaveMart is also running the Buy 1 Get 2 deal on Driscol’s berries. I don’t have a lot of freezer space so I’ll be giving some away!
