I’m a wife and mother of two preschoolers on the Central Coast of California.  I enjoy cooking, entertaining, gardening, art and science.  I’m a college graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Fruit Science of all things–yes, that’s a real major.  After working 8 to 5 through the earliest years of my children’s lives, I traded my full-time job for “full-time mom” in 2010.

I started blogging as a way to express myself and share triumphs and disasters in my new role as a stay-at-home mom.  Along the way I discovered how much I enjoy writing.  I was also able to reignite my passion for cooking and baking, which led to Lesser Homes & Gardens.  I chose the name because my home is nothing like the glossy magazines.  I love trying and developing new recipes to share with my readers.  I’m no Martha, and my home is always a mess, but it’s filled with love.
